This is a very clever unit that enables rapid sterilisation of a wide variety of products. Most parents will be interested in it’s ability to sterilise bottles, teats and dummies, removing 99% of potential pathogens. It can also sterilise mobile phones, toys, keys, remote controls, etc without needing to remove batteries. The process is by ultraviolet (UV) light, enough to sterilise, but not damage products.

 

The process is very straightforward. Bottles and teats need to be washed and rinsed first as one normally would, and can then be placed in the uPang for a 3 step cycle (Automatic) – drying, sterilising and ventilation. Alternatively, dried clean bottles and other items can go through a 2 step process, without the drying.

 

Cycle times:    Automatic – 3 step – 40mins

                        Sterilisation/ventilation – 2 step – 13mins

 

The unit is very easy to operate, relatively compact, and of a stylish design. It is made in Korea, and sold in Australia by Warewashing Solutions. Reassuringly, the product has FDA Certification for sale in the United States as a Medical Device. Would I buy one? Yes, I have!
