The baby/child product industry is an enormous one, with too many products to mention. Some of those are fantastic, others very much less so.

As a parent, particularly a new parent, how do you tell what works and what doesn’t? How do you tell what is based on evidence vs what is just a gimmick? Sure, there are online reviews, but Paed Preferred is unique.

Paed Preferred is the first and only Australasian site on which a Paediatrician, Dr Scott Dunlop, reviews and recommends products to parents. His reviews are based on the evidence available as to the proven benefit or usefulness to parents. When there is no evidence available, the review is based on quality of production, cost-effectiveness, feedback from parents, and Dr Dunlop’s own personal experience with the product.

No monetary payment is received for published reviews. We fiercely protect the independence of our reviews, and therefore their unbiased benefit to parents. Advertising on the site is accepted but will never influence review content.

The products reviewed are predominantly selected by Dr Dunlop, but requests for product review by parents and retailers can be considered.
